Othello is a Moorish general in the Venetian army and is married to his beloved wife Desdemona.
His trusted but unfaithful ensign, Iago, angry at having been passed over as lieutenant, sets in motion a tragic series of events.
As the story progresses, themes of racism, love, hatred, jealousy, betrayal, revenge and repentance aid to a tale of death and destruction.
